United Moves to Newark

United Airlines' New York operations will switch from John F Kennedy (JFK) to Newark from October 25. The airline said it will transfer its only flights from JFK, which serve Los Angeles and San Francisco, to Newark Liberty International Airport after it failed to generate profit on the routes. The airline plans to focus on the transcontinental market, competing with rivals American Airlines, Delta Air Lines and JetBlue Airways.
