New Variants from ATR

Turboprop manufacturer ATR unveiled high-density and cargo-passenger 'combi' variants at the show. The company, which also revealed its new corporate image, signed a deal with Cebu Pacific Air, making the Filipino carrier the launch customer for the high-density 78-seat variant of the ATR 72-600. The aircraft is configured with 19 rows of seats with a 28in (71cm) seat pitch and includes one rear-facing row. The extra room was found by modifying the front galley, and will be available as a retrofit for current operators when certification is completed later this year.
