Manila is one of the busiest cities in Asia and accounts for more than 13 million of the Philippines' 100 million population. Ninoy Aquino International Airport, the country's main gateway, is the essential link to the islands that make up the Philippines archipelago. Around 33 million passengers are handled each year as the domestic and international network has developed. The airport has five terminals and two runways (13/31 and 06/24) with the airfield laid out in a T-shape. Across the street from the Villamor Air Base (home of the Philippine Air Force Aerospace Museum) is the Remington Hotel. The three-star and ten-storey hotel was opened in November 2011 and features a bar, casino, restaurant and car park. Security measures at the Remington Hotel are reassuring and all visitors pass through X-ray screening on arrival.
