AVALON 2017 BREAKS RECORDS

The 14th Australian International Air Show, held at Avalon Airport south of Melbourne was the biggest yet, with record crowds and over 300 aircraft on display over the six days from February 28 to March 5. Avalon has always been predominantly a military show and 2017 was no exception, with almost 100 aircraft attending from Australia, Canada, France (New Caledonia), Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, the United Kingdom and the United States. No less than five new Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) aircraft types were making their debut at the biennial event.
