The first two Pilatus PC-21s for the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) departed the Pilatus factory at Stans-Buochs, Switzerland, on February 10. Nine days later, after various stopovers, the aircraft (A54-001/HB-HWA and A54-002/ HB-HWB) arrived at RAAF Base Darwin, Northern Territory. Following a night-stop, they continued across Australia on the final legs of their delivery flight to No 2 Flying Training School at RAAF Base Pearce, Western Australia.
