The first ATR 72-600F completed its maiden flight from the manufacturer's facility at Toulouse-Blagnac Airport in France on September 16. After the completion of flight tests and painting, the aircraft, F-WWEX (c/n 1653), will be delivered to FedEx Express. FedEx Express became the launch customer for the ATR 72-600F in November 2017 after placing a commitment for 30, plus options for an additional 20. The variant is the first purpose-built 600 series freighter produced by ATR.
