JETSTREAM 31: TRIUMPH OVER ADVERSITY

The Jetstream 31 originated from a design developed by one of the most famous names in British aviation, the Handley Page Aircraft Company. Handley Page (HP) was originally formed in 1909 as a manufacturer of large aircraft as demonstrated by the pre-war Heracles airliner and wartime Halifax bomber. Immediately after World War Two, the company built the Hermes airliner and Hastings military transport and these were followed by the superb Victor V bomber and Herald turboprop airliner.
