Paine Field/Snohomish County Airport, Washington (the site of Boeing's Everett plant) has opened commercial services with Alaska Airlines operating the inaugural flight to Portland, Oregon, on March 4. The carrier connects Paine Field to Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Orange County/John Wayne, Phoenix/Sky Harbor, Portland, San Diego and San Jose/Norman Y Mineta. United Airlines began flights to Denver and San Francisco from the Washington gateway on March 31.
