Chile's Intl. Traffic Registers Most Growth In 30 Years In July

Chile's international traffic grew 25.5% in July from the same month last year for the highest monthly increase rate since 1977, Chile's Civil Aviation Board (JAT) reports. Domestic traffic in Chile did not lag far behind with an increase of almost 24% in July. JAT expects that both domestic and international passengers will reach 5 million passengers this year for another record and attributes the boom to Chileans' increased purchasing power and lower airfares.
