Despite the occasional manufacturer pulling out of the projector marketplace, Telex recently withdrew from this battlefield, the overall number of 'brands' is little changed and the total number of models available is still around the 250 mark. 'Presentation' grade projectors, as usual, contribute significantly to that total. Key trends in this sector continue to be a shedding of weight, an increase in brightness (a growing number of LCD machines now employ micro-lens array technology to boost output) and ever more features at ever keener pricing.
