Despite the advent of InfoComm and Integrated Systems branded shows around the world — there are subsidiary events in Europe, south east Asia, China and even India — the annual InfoComm International show is still the mecca for a-v professionals seeking information about market and technology trends, new products and new business ideas. It's also still the place to go for industry education and peer-to-peer networking. Part of that's because of history. Manufacturers of pro a-v products still target InfoComm International as their launch pad (although many are taking Integrated Systems Europe increasingly seriously). The education programme is well established, inexpensive and caters to both every sector and every knowledge or skills level. Although industry education activity is increasing elsewhere in the world, North America is still the fount of knowledge.
