With the UK market for replacement projector lamps running at a rate of 120,000 units a year, competition between the two main spare lamp distributors increased in June, especially as APO - one of the world's largest manufacturers of replacement lamps - has set up a scheme to use original manufacturers' bulbs in its lamp housings.
