With Heathrow's Terminal 5 now up and running smoothly, World Duty Free is able to make the most out of its impressive Sony mega-HD video walls, which measure more than 4 × 8 m in size. In partnership with Sony Professional Services Europe, HoloVis International designed and delivered the project for the travel retailer. Each wall in its larger T5 store consists of either 8, 24 or 48 high definition Sony commercial LCD screens set into specially designed brushed aluminium structures/frames, and driven using HoloVis Jupiter media controllers, integrated with Sony Ziris live video feeds. The walls are capable of handling mega-high-definition content in real-time and are dazzling examples of the pivotal role media now plays in the new World Duty Free customer experience.
