Rover's new baby

The 25, the first of two updated Rovers, went on sale in late November competing as a premium supermini against opponents such as the Volkswagen Polo, Ford Fiesta and Peugeot 206. The main body panels are mostly unchanged from the 200 but, claims Rover, 40 per cent of the components are new. Visually, most apparent is the change to the car's face, which gets a similar, four-headlamp treatment to that of the 75. New wheel trims and alloys, reprofiled bumpers and redesigned door furniture complete the cosmetic touches.
