The new Audi A3 gets its European release later this month and goes head to head with the likes of the BMW 3 Series Compact and Mercedes' C-Class Sports Coupe. Audi research, though, has highlighted that design and styling are the main factors that should persuade people to buy the new A3. If that is the case, then it has not done itself justice. In company tradition, the A3 has more progressive styling than the outgoing model, but the designers have still gone for evolution over revolution. A styling coup it is not.
