Engineers at BMW are planning to use cameras in a bid to help motorists avoid speeding fines. The company that promotes its models as the ultimate driving machines is preparing to install small video units at the top of the windscreens of its cars to keep a look-out for speed limit signs that might be overlooked by the driver. "We already have a lot of information about speed limits in the satellite navigation systems we use, so it seems a good idea to top this up with an extra pair of eyes for our customers," said driver assistance engineer Artur Russ.
