Jaguar invests in rotary technology

Jaguar's XF executive sedan is sporting a novel transmission selector. The rotary-action dial provides shift-by-wire control of the automatic transmission - an industry first.rnWith the engine switched off the aluminium dial sits flush with the centre console. Press the engine start button and it rises up. Jaguar worked with mechatronics supplier Kostal for more than two years to develop the "JaguarDrive" selector.
