Bosch adds extra sensors to ESC

Bosch's next-generation electronic stability control system will feature up to three brake pressure sensors, weigh less than the current generation, and be modular to suit a range of applications. ESP 9.0 will enter production at the end of 2009. Vehicles in all segments are becoming more complex and feature more brake-dependent features. The higher-end functions such as ACC with follow to stop require better regulation of brake system pressure - the extra sensors enable this.
