Industry seeks support for R&D

Last December, the European Investment Bank (EIB) agreed to lend more money and announced its plans to speed up its approval process for loans. This year and next year, it has increased its lending target by € 15 billion to €60 billion to help industry.rnIt could be a lifeline for any company otherwise struggling to secure financing. And it seems that quite a few carmakers spent the early part of this year putting applications together. Many of the applications will be signed off in the next few weeks.
