Toyota rolls out pre-crash systems

Toyota will introduce a radar system to detect likely front-side collisions and rear seats that prepare occupants for front- and rear-end collisions. The technologies will appear first on the Prius scheduled for launch in Japan this year.rnCollisions caused by a vehicle moving into the path of another result in the highest percentage of serious injuries and fatalities, whilernhead-on collisions result in the highest rate of fatalities.
