Diesel particulate filter

Legislation is bringing down the amount of paniculate matter and NOx that can be emitted from the tailpipes of commercial vehicles in Europe. From 2014 trucks and buses will be limited to O.Olg/kWh for particulate matter and 0.4g/kWh NOx. For many OEMs that means introducing a range of technologies including selective catalytic reduction, exhaust gas recirculation and diesel particulate filters (DPFs).
