Nissan X-Trail

When the X-Trail was launched, back in 2001, it was one of Nissan's first crossover SUVs, However, the vehicle was designed more for off-road than for on-road activities. The subsequent arrivals of genuine crossovers, in the shape of the Qashqai and even the Juke, have been more successful and may indicate which way the market is heading. The latter two vehicles have proved to be the OEM's best sellers, and suggest that off-road requirements are not of primary concern for today's consumers, Rather than carving out a new path for others to follow, this latest X-Trail appears to be Nissan's confession that it is, in fact, the Qashqai that's the one to follow.
