摘要

This paper is to study the performance of small centrifugal compressor with a re-circulation valve. A simplified model is proposed and fractional factorial analysis is applied for sensitivity study. It is found that the temperature and turbulence of the re-circulated air need to be controlled to improve the performance of the total compression system. Prototype was made and gas stand tests were carried out. Surge margin can be improved by about 48% with a well-designed compressor re-circulation system.
