Effects of Fuel Properties on Diesel Engine Emissions

摘要

The effects of fuel properties, such as density, total aromatics, poly aromatics and cetane number on emission were studied in a heavy-duty DI engine. The fuel properties were varied independently using a decoupled fuel matrix to clarify the effects. The testing was carried out in conformity with the Japanese 13 mode. From the results, the effects of each fuel property were made more clear. The reason why the density has a influence on emissions was investigated.
