In his presentation Caune outlined that a lean factory includes: organisation of the workplace, safety, simplicity and efficiency. He continued that companies should be reviewing the management plans within their manufacturing facilities and making them as simple as possible.rnCaune says, "When you walk into a lean facility the floors talk to you so people can't make a mistake. You should take out what you don't need, which can be as much as 80 per cent, just eliminate all the clutter and things that get in the way of your work."
