Climate change is set to become the defining issue of the 21st century. This will occur for two reasons; the impacts the world will experience as a result of the coming changes in its weather, and the efforts the world will need to make to prevent further climate change and enable a shift to a 'low-carbon' economy. Both of these factors will bring enormous changes.
