摘要

The microbial community of winery wastewater treatment plants has not been studied in detail and, consequently, the microbial dynamics are poorly understood. Identification and understanding of beneficial and detrimental organisms in winery wastewater treatment plants would assist operators in the management of plants. Further research directed at understanding the microbiology of the process to predict and control microbiological problems would be of considerable economic and environmental importance to many wineries.
