THE ACT 'ADOPT A PHYSICIST' PROGRAM

Physicists are often heard to whinge about the standard of the undergraduate intake for their first year physics classes, and to bemoan the lack of qualified physics teachers in secondary schools. This is usually a pointless exercise because there is very little that physicists, the school system or the State and Federal governments can do about this systemic problem in the short term.
