Ruth Maier's Diary: A young girl's life under Nazism

Ruth Maier was a young Jewish girl living in Vienna. The diary she kept from 1934 reflects her growing maturity and with it, a realisation that her world was about to be torn apart. When the German Army marched into Austriarnshe saw first hand the brutality meted out to the Jews. In 1939 she joined the exodus of Jews from Austria. She migrated to Norway but her es-rncape was only temporary. In 1940, Norway was also invaded. Her life was cut short in 1942 when she, along with many other Jews, was rounded up and transported to Auschwitz. This is a moving story of a young life cruelly cut short.
