Mini-Uavs designed and manufactured by 23-year-old David Skinner, almost certainly Avalon's youngest exhibitor, attracted strong attention throughout the show, including a visit from Aerosonde. Melbourne-based Skinner, who graduated from RMIT last year with a degree in aeronautical engineering, has already sold 20 of his AeroDrone MR4 systems, three of them to RMIT for research into control applications, and others to purchasers ranging from hobbyists to land owners utilising the systems for property inspection.
