Septoria sonchi causes Sonchus oleraceus leaf spot in Iran

摘要

A survey was done on leaf samples of Sonchus oleraceus with symptoms of leaf spot from different areas of Hamadan province, Iran during the summer to autumn period in 2009. The causal agent of this disease was studied in terms of morphological characteristics. The causal agent of symptoms was identified as Septoria sonchi. This is the first report of Septoria sonchi on Sonchus oleraceus in Iran.
