Tokyo Conference on Nuclear Safety in Asia Makes Appeal for Participation in Atomic Safety Convention

On November 5, the Tokyo Conference on Nuclear Safety in Asia was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tokyo. High-level officials, as well as the directors general of various agencies, attended the conference representing the governments of Australia, China, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, the Republic of Korea, Thailand and Vietnam. Taking part as observers were representatives were from Canada, France, Germany, India, Italy, Pakistan, Russia, Singapore, the U.K., the U.S., Uzbekistan, the EU, the IAEA and the OECD/NEA.
