Obituary Oded Loewenbein (1953-2009)

Oded Loewenbein, 56, co-author of the article "A management consulting view on the statistical consulting process" [published online 28 November 2009; the original article can be found at doi:10.1007/s10182-009-0119-0], died on November 27, 2009 after having bravely battled against cancer for more than five years. We will keep him in our memory as a most caring, loyal and devoted friend and colleague, and as somebody who, despite his health situation, kept an entirely positive and inspiring outlook on life. We have lost an extraordinary person whose tolerance and affection with regard to his collegues and students will remain unforgettable.
