Singapore-Safe, solid and dependable. It wouldn't be surprising if investors who used to feel that way about the energy utilities are having second thoughts after watching Enron crash and burn. There's an argument to be made that the time is right to move out of utilities and into riskier stocks, given a likely rebound in economies and markets later this year. But for those who have decided to stay safe for now, Enron shouldn't be the trigger to move out of energy utilities. In fact, some Asian power companies stand to gain in the wake of Enron's failure.
