Grassroots activity is a team sport at ABA and we are training for victory. As the dominant banking trade group in Washington, D.C., we know that we have the numbers to make a difference in the policy process. But our size will matter only if we field a team that can launch an effective grassroots organization. That's why ABA is dedicated to increasing the banking industry's political effectiveness on Capitol Hill. We've been doing a good job of representing our members, and we have had our successes, most recently in preventing the Farm Credit System from expanding its lending activities beyond farms and ranches to corporate lending and home lending.
