The anti-ship missile (ASM) market is likely to generate more than US$7.5 billion in revenues over the next 10 years as the ASM has proven to be the best weapon for enhancing a nation's naval firepower at a minimal cost, with many countries actively seeking next-generation anti-ship missiles, including the United States, Russia, China, Germany, India and Norway. More than 11,000 units of ASMs are likely to be produced through to 2010.
