Royal Malaysian Navy Top Brass Move Up

The Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) promoted Datuk Abdul Hadi Abdul Rashid from rear admiral to three-star vice-admiral as the new fleet operations commander on March 1. RMN chief Admiral Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Jaafar did the honours at a handing-over ceremony onboard the KD Pelanduk at the RMN base in Lumut. Abdul Hadi replaces Vice Adm Datuk Jamil Osman, who has opted for retirement, as the third most senior man in the navy. Four other senior officers were also promoted.
