PCCW and Telstra to restructure Reach Global Service

PCCW Ltd., the largest telecom service provider in Hong Kong, has signed a deal with Australia's leading telecom and information provider, Telstra Co., to restructure their joint venture business, Reach Global Service Ltd., in which both companies own 50 percent stakes. PCCW is expected to conclude this restructuring process by the first part of 2011. This move is also likely to address the operational concerns of both companies' shareholders. Reach Global Service has stakes in over 40 international satellite systems and undersea cables.
