I read with interest the comments of Abe Grrenbaum regarding the Australian High Court's decision in PCT V. Spotless Services Ltd published in the March 1997 issue. Mr Greenbaum hopes that the decision "heralds a new era Of intellectual sophistication in the analysis and applica- Tion of the Australian tax laws" and feels that the Court is "embarking on an exciting new path". I disagree.
