Global operator PanAmSat has awarded Orbital Sciences Corporation (OSC) a contract to supply one C-band geostationary communications satellite, with an option for two additional similar spacecraft. "We are honoured to be chosen by PanAmSat to build their next-generation of C-band Fixed Satellite Services (FSS) satellites," said David W Thompson, OSC's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
