The London Satellite Exchange (LSE) was officially declared open on 31 January 2001 with a ceremony that saw the participation of the Lord Mayor of London. In addition, LSE has recently launched the first-ever trading floor for satellite capacity. As a result, members of the exchange can buy or sell online, but Frank Genin, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of LSE, believes that a physical trading floor is also important. He said: "In an industry as complex as the satellite industry, it is important to show a human face."
