Why Standards are so Important

Standards are published documents setting out the specifications and procedures designed to ensure products, services and systems are safe, reliable and consistently perform the way they were intended to. In July this year, a global standards committee with the not so catchy title of ISO TC 94 SC 14 (Firefighters' Personal Equipment) will convene in Australia.
