SEIPI Commissions Consulting Agency To Determine Competitiveness of Philippine Electronics Industry

The Semiconductor and Electron-ics Industries in the Philippines, Inc. (SEIPI), the umbrella orga-nization of foreign and local electronics manufacturers in the country, is working with the government to finalize an industry roadmap that seeks to increase Philippine electronics exports to $100 billion in 2008 from $22 billion in 2001. The organization has started working closely with concerned government agencies after getting the results of a study commissioned to identify the strong and weak points of the industry.
