U.S.-based Verigy Ltd. is an automated test equipment (ATE) supplier that designs, develops, manufactures and sells advanced test systems and solutions for the semiconductor industry. Verigy consists of the semiconductor test business separated from Agilent Technologies. It started operating as Verigy on June 1, 2006. Rwe-Ming Chen, General Manager of Verigy's Taiwan branch believes Taiwan is doing very well in the computer, consumer electronics, mobile phone, and memory industries. Verigy's strength meanwhile lies on system-on-chip (SOC) and system-in-package (SIP) automatic test equipment (ATE).
