LG Develops First LTE Handset Modem Chip

LG Electronics is first in the industry to produce the first handset modem chip based on 3GPP Long Term Evolution (LTE) technology standard. The modem chip can theoretically support wireless download speeds of l00Mbps and upload speeds of 50Mbps, paving the way for the market release of a 4G mobile phone.
