Shin-Etsu Chemical Takes on High-Brightness LEDs with New Silicone Material

Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd. has developed new silicone products used for high-brightness light-emitting diodes (LEDs). The new SWC Series are advanced silicone reflectors designed to greatly improve the brightness performance of LEDs. Meanwhile, the new LPS-AF Series are protective film materials that are transparent and possess high heat resistance.rnThese new materials will be used to improve the performance of high-brightness LEDs that are used for lighting products and for backlighting units in LCD TVs. Shin-Etsu has began sample shipments mainly for these applications.
