The lift has a base body made of plastic and silicone material that are electron-irradiated, where the electron irradiation takes place at room temperature and at normal pressure. The electron irradiation is performed with a radiation dose of 30 kilogray and 150 kilogray. A gripping device is arranged in a clamping channel of an impression cylinder (10). A cylinder lift unit (12) is positioned on a surface area (11) of a printing machine. The cylinder lift unit is stressed at periphery of the impression cylinder by a tensioning unit (13). An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a rolling or cylinder lift.
