Asahi Kasei E-materials Readies Mass Production of Wire-Grid Polarizing Film

Asahi Kasei E-materials Corp. has planned to bring into mass production a wire-grid polarizing film, which features na-no-size micro patterns, and to accelerate the product's market development. At present, polarizing plates are most widely used in LCD panels. They are also used extensively in polarized sunglasses wear when fishing or boating, as well as in lens filters that suppress glare when shooting photographs, among familiar applications.
