Amid the heightened demand for flat panels, Nippon Electric Glass Co., Ltd. (NEG) plans to expand its production capacity and develop new products. The company plans to boost activities in Asia through its plants in Taiwan, China, and Korea. Masayuki Arioka, President of Nippon Electric Glass, said, "Glass substrates for flat panel displays (FPDs) is our company's mainstay products. We will strengthen cooperation with Taiwanese and Chinese FPD manufacturers, while positioning products destined for Korean manufacturers, which are at the forefront in FPDs, as the axis of our business. We will continue to expand our glass substrate business." Arioka explained in an interview with AEI.
