A Post-Afghanistan 'Small-Wars' Expeditionary Strategy

When announcing GEN McChrystal's replacement with GEN David H. Pe-traeus, President Obama stated, "I have a responsibility to do whatever is necessary to succeed in Afghanistan, and in our broader effort to disrupt, dismantle and defeat al Qaeda." While it is natural to focus on the current war, it is not too early to think about post-Afghanistan policy regarding future "irregular" threats.
